Corinne Mercadier creates photographic scenes linked to dance, architecture and space. She stages the scenes, which are first drawn in sketchbooks, with models, dancers and actors. The costumes and sculptures used in the scenes are her creations.
Corinne Mercadier first worked with film: Leica and Polaroid SX70. In 2008, she turned to digital photography.
Her artistic practice also extends to drawing: works anchored in the visible world that escape into imaginary scenes.
