80x82 cm
Edition of 5

Enlarged Polaroid SX 70s, Glasstypes are photographs of images painted on glass against a dark background. What these objects are, exactly, is unclear – what are they used for? What is their history? Their actual scale? The only point of comparison is the human body; these objects resemble clothing somehow or shelters or other ordinary things. The body, as it happens, is conspicuous by its absence.
Color, here, is not so much pigment as a variation on glare. The photographs are bathed in a cold or hot wash of irradiating light.
Dreaming Journal, published by Editions Filigranes, is a complement to this series. It's an artist's chapbook which associates images (Glasstypes, Intérieurs) and texts. The occurrences of everyday life flow into daydreams, into the works of art as they gradually develop and emerge.
