The body and its coverings: skin, clothing. Suspension: a moment in the air, an instant in the photographic image.
Objects fly for a brief moment before the lens. Une fois et pas plus – just this once. A title with the cadence of a clock's inexorable tick, inexorable as gravity's pull, a dream of release.
Objects – sculptures I've created – encounter human figures. Or not. Destiny. The future. What happens. Reality is chance, speed, movement.
Color, which was so important in my other series, is veiled in this one, so as not to interfere with the apparition, in the distance, of a dream. Nearly but not quite black and white, the object in flight merges into the scene.
